I’m Zack Tenpenny. I own and operate Tenpenny Residential Construction.
I got my start in construction when I was 18. Fresh out of high school I needed a way to earn money, build skills and get through college. My parents were in real estate and I made a 4 year career of remodeling their investment properties on my days off.
After college I went and got a “real job” in the big city. In 3 short months I had my fill of corporate America. I came back to Ennis and decided to start my own remodeling business. In 2002 I gave my first bid, got my first project and never looked back.
Early on, I intentionally focused on small jobs. I wanted to learn my trade the real way…by starting at the bottom and moving up. Through the years I progressed to bigger jobs while still staying within the realm of residential remodeling. Despite the growth, I still pride myself on quality work and satisfied customers. Over the years, I have built a solid team to work with: employees, subcontractors, suppliers, etc. I couldn’t do it by myself and I am proud of the people I’ve surrounded myself with. They are truly some fine people to work with.
I love what I do. I look forward to each project as an opportunity to build my experience, learn something new, and hopefully make some new friends.
